Ecataromance results are in! It was neck and neck with Zinnia Hope’s Conspiracy of Angels for so long that I had all but given up. I’d go up by two and she’d tie and so on. It was unbelievable. It was seriously the most funny thing ever. And she knows way more book people than me. LOL.
On a sad note, I find it disturbing that so many people were harassing the moderators of that site regarding this event. What’s the big deal people? Yes, I wanted the results too, but give them time. They said they were checking to make sure everything was in the right category, the right year (they found some that were released in 2008 and 2006), they were trying to be FAIR. And yet all they got was hassled. I feel very bad for them. I hope whoever it was that was doing that feels ashamed. Sheesh. It’s not like this is the frickin’ Oscars people. While I’m just as happy as any one else to get this award I am realistic about what it means. It means I was able to convince enough people to vote for me. Or, hopefully, enough people loved my book and really wanted to buy my book. But, really, come on – you know it was the former.
Anyway, mini-rant over. I’m still happy.
