Happy Holidays and Great Present

Happy Holidays (sorry it’s a bit late, but I’ve been travelling and have limited internet access) to everyone!

I’m in California for Christmas and we drove down here with our three kids. Very exciting and tense stuff (for those who don’t know we live on the West Coast of Canada), let me tell you!

Christmas was a very relaxed affair and I celebrated a rather big birthday yesterday (no, it’s not a great date for a birthday, but it’s mine and I’m stuck with it LOL). I was given a great present when my lovely CP emailed me to say that I’d been nominated for a CAPA award. Well not me, but Love’s Blessings, which was nominated in the Inspirational category.

This is such an honour for me. As I look across the list of names, I see so many friends nominated in various categories this year, as well. I didn’t see this one coming and I am so thrilled.

Love Songs wins Honorable Mention with EPIC

So the Love Songs cover was basically the runner up in its category ( Contemporary / Suspense / Mystery / Historical Romance) winning the Dirk A. Wolf Honorable Mention Award for Excellence in eBook Cover Artwork. You can find it’s link here http://www.epicauthors.com/quasars-honorablemention2008.html

Congratulations to Nicola Martinez and thank you for doing such a lovely job on my cover.Arianna Runner Up

Midnight Awakening

This is the latest title in Lara Adrian’s Midnight Breed series. This is the one I’ve been waiting for. Midnight Awakening Cover I have been intrigued with Tegan ever since Kiss of Midnight. I cannot wait to read about him.

I cannot wait to read this book. But, I must. I am saving it for when I can read it straight through and right now I barely have time to shower (um, but I do… shower I mean). I want to savour it and be able to concentrate on every word, not snatch pieces of it in between my chidlren’s constant bickering (something they start to do as Christmas comes closer and their little excited selves are running on the high octane that is Santa and presents.)

Anyway, go check out Midnight Awakening and while you’re there pick up the others in the series, if you haven’t already.

Oooh, and I see the cover and pre-order is available for Midnight Rising (book 4) is up on Amazon as well. Way to go Lara!

Pay it Forward

Colleen Gleason is hosting a Pay it Forward contest and I encourage you all to go check it out. Not only can you help someone else have a really good day and spread feelings of joy around, you can win some prizes for doing it. Go HERE to read all about it.

Here’s the challenge:

This is the perfect time of year to Pay it Forward–everyone is so stressed out, in such a hurry, and so focused while we try to get things done to make our holiday perfect, that sometimes we forget about little courtesies.

So I’m going to challenge you all–even you lurkers who don’t post here to do at least one kind, unexpected, unnecessary thing for someone else through December 19.

Pay it Forward.

Pay it forward - Colleen Gleason

So go visit Colleen Gleason and start paying it forward… come on – you know you wanna! Spread some love
