Thursday Thirteen – Visitors from where?

tt book
I’m borrowing this idea from Elle Fredrix…13 countries that have visited my site:

  1. United States
  2. Canada
  3. United Kingdom
  4. Rwanda – really?
  5. India – again, this surprises me
  6. Singapore – May is that you? LOL
  7. Algeria – huh, cool!
  8. Unknown – does anyone know where this country is located? ROFL
  9. Turkey – OK!

Well, it only shows me the last nine countries but if I go by the exact last 13 visitors it is:

  1. Canada
  2. US
  3. Canada
  4. US
  5. UK
  6. US
  7. US
  8. US
  9. US
  10. US
  11. US
  12. US
  13. India

I’m It, again

OK, I swear I did this one already but I’ve been tagged by Tawny so I must do it. It may be slightly different so hopefully, you all don’t get bored:

Here are the rules:

A. Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves.
B. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

  1. I have been a bad blogger lately, too much to do, too little time. That is a fact!
  2. I got a new haircut and colour. The colour is dark with really blonde streaks. My daughter keeps saying how much she likes my silver hair. :oogle: Yeah – not really what I intended to have! LOL
  3. I have three young children. My oldest will be 8 next month, my youngest is 15 1/2 months.
  4. I am an editor for a fantastic epub. Fantastic for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the ladies I work for. And no, I am not pubbed there.
  5. I don’t edit my posts here as well as I should.
  6. I love to sing. It brings me joy.
  7. I am not as good a Mom as I’d hoped to be. :shake: It’s harder than I thought. But I will keep striving to be better.
  8. I love pedicures. I used to hate them–I have ugly feet and was embarassed. The ladies who do my pedicures say my feet aren’t ugly. I’m going to believe them, even if I do pay them. LOL

Now, who to tag that hasn’t been tagged? I have no idea so I will tag people and if you’ve already done it then great…Immi, May, Christine, Jackie, Debbie Mumford, Jenna, Jennifer, Shannon

Thursday Thirteen – Preschool

tt purse
My beautiful daughter graduated from preschool on Wednesday. These are thirteen things about why I’m (mostly) glad preschool ended:

  1. I get my Mon, Wed, Fri afternoons back (sort of). Yes, it should have been a peaceful 2 1/2 hr break but as I have another, younger, child at home and an older child at elementary that lets out only a couple of hours after I drop her off, it doesn’t quite work out that way.
  2. No more driving from one side of town to the other, while hoping the youngest falls asleep and I can park and read/work for a while.
  3. I don’t have to argue which two snacks she is allowed to take.
  4. No more half dry paintings getting smeared on either my hands or my car, or both.
  5. I don’t have to figure out what to do with all of the artwork that comes home (oh come on, I’m not a terrible mom, I keep some of it!O )
  6. No more juggling schedules when field trips are on because I don’t have anyone to pick up my oldest from school.
  7. I don’t have to hear about Jared anymore. “Oh Jared.” “Jared’s going to marry me.” “Jared only likes it when I wear dresses.” um – yeah it’d be sweet if he even gave her the time of day. Not that he talks to many of the girls. He’s way too cool for that!:smirk:
  8. No more forgetting about some food item I was supposed to bring for some special day or another, and then having to run out to the store to buy something.
  9. I have another 2-3 years before I have to do it again.
  10. The endless cupcakes and birthdays and my child coming home hopped up on sugar.
  11. Kindergarten is next and that means my oldest son and his sister will be at the same school every day, if only for half a day.
  12. I won’t miss driving from one side of town to the other between the preschool and the elementary school. Yes, it was our choice to put her in that particular one, but still with gas prices…
  13. In particular I’m happy about graduation because I got to see my daughter look this beautiful (click on the pics to see full size): dd preschool and wear this hat:dd preschool grad
  14. Truthfully, I will miss the preschool, and the wonderful teachers my daughter had. They taught her in a safe and loving environment and I know she was very happy there. She made many friends, some of whom she will see in Kindergarten, but some she won’t. She learned her alphabet and knows how to write her name, as well as those of everyone in her family and Elmo (don’t ask?).
