Release Day – Love’s Blessings

Loves Blessing Cover

Love’s Blessings has released! You can find it at By Grace Publishing in either ebook ($1.49 USD) or trade paperback ($5.21 USD) format.

If you buy it, please come back and let me know what you think. You can email me privately or make a comment here. If you like and want to blog about it, send me the link to your blog and I will enter you in a contest to win a $10 gift certificate for books through Fictionwise (I haven’t figured out the deadline for this contest yet, I’ll do that later when I can think more clearly. Right now my baby is pulling books down around me to get my attention. Guess he doesn’t care that it’s release day!! LOL).

The first review for Love’s Blessings is here (click link).

A reader (actually author) review is here (click link), written by the fabulous Shannon Stacey.

My “sister of the severed hand” (don’t ask), has posted some wonderful stuff here (click link) and even has a contest (click link) so go check her out as well.

And don’t forget this contest, either. It has chocolate. I’m still waiting to find out if I can win. I didn’t see any exclusions but I have a feeling it’s a no! LOL

  2. It’s sweet
  3. It’s inspirational

  10. It’s about a good couple losing their way
  11. There are pieces of me through the story
  12. The ending actually happened to friends of mine except there were more
  13. I’ve experienced my own bow down moment, although it was different than that in the book.

The first review is in!

And I got 4.5 hearts!

You can find the review at The Romance Studio but I will just post this snippet:

Ms. Braden has written a poignant story about how emotionally draining it can be to try to answer your own prayers! Janelle and Kevin believed that God would provide for them and that he could give them a child. However, it was easy to forget that He was there to help and even easier to just go about it all alone.

There are few other characters in this novel; it is a look inside a troubled marriage and attempts on both sides to salvage their relationship. Ms. Braden shows deep insight into how individuals can drift apart when circumstances change in a marriage. She has managed this in quite a perceptive manner. Kudos to the author for her excellent story!

:cheekysmiley:

Can I say that I’m speechless? Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect because this story is sweet and the ending is definitely HEA, but this reviewer seemed to get exactly what I was going for – and there is nothing better than that for me.

Thursday Thirteen – Things I love About my CP

tt bath

I should have used this tt header gif last week but it is still relaxing and my CP deserves to relax so I’m using it now.

  1. She’s a great writer
  2. She’s very supportive of me, even when I’m ranting
  3. She gives me helpful feedback on my ms
  4. She doesn’t just tell me what I want to hear but what she knows I need to make my writing work
  5. She likes salt & vinegar chips
  6. She is funny
  7. She understands where I’m going with something even when I don’t
  8. She’s a brilliant editor
  9. She likes chocolate
  10. She writes British English just like me so we don’t get confused (although we still use different words and sometimes that makes us laugh, especially the one she used that I thought sounded like a hooker but she meant it completely differently)
  11. She wanted to do a contest for my first release all on her very own, I didn’t even hav to ask her.
  12. She’s a mom and understands what it’s like to have young children around, be a stay-at-home-mom and still get your writing done (or not as the case may be).
  13. She made me like fantasy writing. Her writing is that good. – when Fire and Shadow comes out you have to go buy it (or win it from me) because it is awesome. Or even go and read her free read, Meeting in Darkness, here.

I think that is 13 and there are a whole lot more but I just wanted to say, publicly, how blessed I am to have hooked up with her as a Critique Partner. Thanks, Immi!
