Melanie Blazer blogged about the new Pirates movie coming out in May so of course I had to check out her blog and go find the trailer and goodies.
I love Pirates of the Caribbean. Although, probably nothing irritated me as much as the ending of POC II. 
Really ticked me off. Because, like with books, I want each movie to have it’s own HFN or HEA, even if it is part of a series. For example, with the Harry Potter books I knew there were going to be seven of them but each book wrapped up that book. Did I know how the entire series was going to end? No, but, each book’s plot was wrapped up nicely by the end, although maybe Harry wasn’t necessarily always happy.
The way POC II ended you basically had no choice but to see POC III because otherwise how would you ever know what happened to Captain Jack? I mean, sure, you could care less but I care – I really care! I felt very unsatisfied with that ending. I think even sat in the theatre for a bit looking like this 
. It almost made me not want to see POC III because it was so obviously a ploy for it.
But, of course, I’m hooked on Captain Jack so I have to. He’s kind of hot in a weird kind of way, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about the character, not Johnny Depp, who is just plain hot. :satansmoking:
So I give to you…Pirates of the Caribbean At World’s End
To quote Melanie and her daughter…”Oh. My. God.” I cannot wait!

Funny, but I really don’t like Johnny Depp. BUT… I just LOVE him as Captain Jack! I forget all about the actor and enjoy the character. Now THAT’S a good actor. Ha!
