In the middle of writing on three separate projects I realise I am peddling nowhere fast. I am not actually writing on three separate projects, I am really only working (writing) on one.
There is going to be a free read project available through the Romance Divas on Valentine’s Day. There are a lot of Divas signed up and on Valentine’s, along with my free read, I will be posting the link to others who are having free reads that day. There will be at least 50 writers involved, writing everything from sweet contemporary (as I will) to historical and paranormal, with heat levels from sweet to caliente.
Anyway, I started writing my Valentine story and was wanting it to be fairly short. Something not too cumbersome for people to swing by and read, or even download (in pdf) and read. So far I’m at 2500 words and not sure where I’m going. That’s the bad thing about being a pantser. I’m nowhere near the end at this point unless I wrap it up in a wholely unsatisfying manner. Â
Guess I’ll just have to keep on keeping on and see how I do.
:beerclink:Here’s hoping that I like the story in the end and, more importantly, that you do.

Oh I’m a pantser too, but I’m trying to reform. It wastes soooooooo much time. Good luck trying to pull your wayward plot into line. It’s never too late to plot it, you know. That way you can get to the end much faster and tighten everything else up too. Good luck.

I should be doing this as well, but by the time I saw the thread on
Oh well, maybe we’ll do
by Elle Fredrix February 11th, 2007 at 5:42 am ♦RD I already had way too much on my plate.
it again sometime.
:cheekysmiley: I have to find the romance divas. I don’t write in that genre, however I have learned so much about writing and sticking to writing from visiting your blog and the other romance authors I have found here.
by Jackie February 11th, 2007 at 6:53 am ♦Personally, I don’t see how any of you with young families get any writing done. You are amazing.
I came up with a helper shortcut because I can’t figure out how to make MS Word do something that I learned in Word Perfect. Instead of constantly writing he said or she said tag lines I now write h1 or s1, then when I’m ready to do the line edits I use the replace function on the toolbar and replace h1 with and replace s1 with I’m going to try this with protag and antag names too. Count the keystrokes saved! Holy Cats.
Valentines Day I will read as many of the storys as I can. Go forth and write ladies, you are awesome.
Well isn’t that interesting, apparently not to the blog wizard. The message above shuold have read:

I think I will crawl back to Las Vegas and write some adventure.
Thanks everyone. I am now finished! Woohoo! :music: If you go to the site home and then click on Book List you can even see the cover I made to go with the story (please remember I am NOT a graphic artist :oogle: LOL). I called the story Love Songs and I hope you will enjoy it on Valentine’s Day.
Jackie – if you want to get to the Romance Diva’s forum it is here http://romancedivas.com/divaforum/ – Also, many of us are trying to get away from the he said, she said lines, at least I know that was something we had a workshop on somewhere. Or maybe it was one of Angie’s (Nice Mommy, Evil Editor) posts. However, sometimes you have to use them and if using h1 and s1 with the find and replace works for you then go for it. Are you still writing scripts? Or books now? Or both?
I appreciate your support on Valentine’s day with all of the free ebooks. I will have a link that will take you to links of all of the Diva’s involved and where their ebooks are posted.
by Michelle February 11th, 2007 at 9:13 am ♦That is great news Michelle! I’m going to pop over and take a look. I can’t wait to read it. :cheekysmiley:
by Christine d'Abo February 11th, 2007 at 12:10 pm ♦Hey, you did a good job on the cover!
