- Ghost Rider – not as scary as I thought it would be yet still just a bit scary, even though it was cheesy sometimes too. I don’t care – you have to love that bike and Sam Sheppard is so amazing. Plus Peter Fonda as the bad guy is too funny, especially with that face lift. I also wonder if someone could have done a better job on Nicholas Cage’s hair. Talk about scary! :satansmoking:
- Because I said So – I had been really looking forward to this and it was nice but something was missing. For me the connection between Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore’s characters (mother and daughter) didn’t happen until about half way through the film so I was having trouble suspending disbelief. However, Gabriel Macht is so hot I didn’t care. :smirk: How have I never seen this guy before?
- Epic Movie – I had a bad week. Dh and I thought this would be funny and lighten the mood. It was not funny, it was horrible. It did, however, lighten the move because it was so bad that we couldn’t believe it.
- The Holiday – I thought this was going to be more funny than it was but it was still so good. A very nice movie. A great chick flick but my dh even liked it, which is amazing in and of itself. And it’s the first time I thought Jude Law cute. I know everyone thinks he’s hot but this is the first time he was for me. Plus Jack Black was actually quite good.

- The Nativity Story – this was good. I thought it was well done and the wise men cracked me up (not sure if they were supposed to…:oogle:
- Cinderella III- yeah I have kids
and a dd who is obssessed with princess stuff. It was an interesting concept I suppose. What if there was no bibbedy, bobbedy boo? Well we find out but of course, just like in any true romance, there is an HEA. - Catch and Release – sounds like perfect romance novel stuff to me. Plus, I love Jennifer Garner.
- The Number 23 – Jim Carrey in a serious role is a good thing. The movie sounds a bit bizarre but also good.
- Song and Lyrics – yes, another chick flick. But I love them. I’m trying to escape when I go to a movie (just like when I read a book). Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore? Ya gotta love ‘em.:cheekysmiley: I hope it’s a winner.
- Wild Hogs – this could crash big time but it looks so fun. I think John Travolta is only getting hotter as he gets older.
- In Pursuit of Happyness – I’ve been meaning to see this but it might have to be on dvd at this point. I think it sounds awesome but I’ve never been in the right mood to feel the way I think this movie is going to make me feel. KWIM?
- Dreamgirls – another dvd and again it’s because I need to be in the right mood for a musical. Especially one loosely based on the Supremes.
- Eragon – yet another dvd I guess because I only just realised I like dragon stuff. Who knew?

I haven’t been to a movie in ages! We just rented The Illusionist and loved it. Music and Lyric is also on my list of want to see. And I agree with 23 – didn’t every recognize him in the trailer. Looks creepy.
Happy final TT!
by Christine d'Abo February 22nd, 2007 at 9:23 am ♦Not related, but I think Megan Hart’s current book is titled Catch And Release, but title’s probably going to change.
by May February 22nd, 2007 at 9:58 am ♦Hubby and I want to watch Ghost Rider (the only movie we both agree to watching – how sad is that?)
by Victoria Krain February 22nd, 2007 at 10:58 am ♦Oh, and I don’t have kids… but I love Cinderella! Actually, I can watch a Disney movie any day of the week!
I don’t think we’ve been to a movie without the monsters since…. Batman Begins? Although we did watch the remake of the Alamo over the weekend and it was good, if a little long.
by Joely February 22nd, 2007 at 11:19 am ♦Hmm, my son has a passion for dragons and he liked Eragon. I thought it was much ado about nothing. Still, the author was like … what? 15 or something when he wrote it, so you have to admire that!
by Babe February 22nd, 2007 at 4:07 pm ♦I didn’t realize Ghost Rider was now out – it’s on my go see list. I may not watch TV but i do enjoy movies.
by Rhian February 22nd, 2007 at 5:11 pm ♦Was going to see Eragon until every single person I talked to who saw it, said it wasn’t worth it.
Someone sent me link to a movie that i guess came out in december called “Pan’s Labrynth” – now that looks awesome.

I am dying to see The Prestige but I’ll have to wait a bit since my life was just turned on it’s ear.
And I would kill to be able to see 300 in the theatre….wanna babysit??
by jennontheisland February 22nd, 2007 at 8:27 pm ♦Jenn – No babysitting! LOL
SInce you sold the house does that mean you’re going to come to Write On Vancouver now?
Rhian – Pan’s Labrynth does look neat. My dh wants to see that.
Babe – I had heard that too, that it was over rated, but it is cool that he was 15 when he wrote it, so that alone intrigues me.
Joely – we’ve only just found a wonderful babysitter and now we make a point to have a date night. It took us seven years but date night is wonderful. :cheekysmiley:
Victoria – That’s why we saw Ghost Rider but I still made dh see Because I Said So with me….LOL… O
May – have you seen a blurb on it?
Christine – Yeah the movie looks kind of cool and creepy, all at the same time.
by Michelle February 22nd, 2007 at 11:34 pm ♦Oh, dear. I forgot all about TT this week! Thanks for the insight. I really want to see
by Elle Fredrix February 23rd, 2007 at 1:32 pm ♦a few of these.
Holiday was the first time I thought Jude Law was sexy as well! He always seemed too young and pouty for me before LOL.
by RG February 24th, 2007 at 8:25 am ♦And even though its probably formulaic as the critics say-I still want to see Words and Music. Singing hello! :}
