Thursday Thirteen, 6th Edition, What I’d Like for Christmas
Thirteen Things about MG BradenI saw this elsewhere and I liked the idea. It is a completely selfish list, honest and frank (and I don’t even know Frank! LOL bad I know sorry…:

1. A weekend away with just me and my dh with trusting, competent people left behind to look after our young children.

2. A weekend away all by myself where I will be pampered, have room service and read, eat, sleep and write whenever I want.

3. To be able to read, eat, sleep and write whenever I want and still have a family life too. LOL

4. A new laptop with a fully working keyboard because typing on a keyboard that is plugged into a laptop rather defeats the purpose.

5. A Blackberry – I love gadgets that can do everything.

6. A Kitchen Aid Waffle Baker in Red. I don’t need this but I really want it. It matches my other Kitchen Aid stuff and it’s really cool. It makes the best waffles I’ve ever tasted.

7. For my kids to listen the first time I tell them something, every time (what it could happen! LOL)

8. To know that my writing will be accepted, published and widely read.

9. Confidence in myself and my abilities.

10. To reach my goal weight (ok, it won’t happen by Christmas but I’m willing to go with “sometime in 2007, preferably sooner rather than later”.

11. A Hummer (seriously, even an H3 would be fine).

12. Laser eye surgery – no more contacts or glasses, sweet.

13. The ability to write both prolifically and well.

What Kind of Writer Should you Be? Quiz

Just a fun little quiz I saw on Denise’s blog, that tells me that…

You Should Be a Film Writer

You don’t just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

TBR for November – ebook

I was supposed to post this as part of my November TBR Challenge but I didn’t realise that I was supposed to post it so here we go:

Title: Sorcha’s Heart

Author: Debbie Mumford

Year published: 2006

Do you like the cover? Yes, it is very attractive and in ebooks this is very important since you can’t actually pick something up in your hands and look it over.

Did you enjoy the book? Although I would never have pegged myself for a fantasy reader, I loved this tale of dragons and humans trying to unite their two worlds. The writing is well done and Ms. Mumford manages to take the reader to a new world and make it believable. My heart yearned for the hero and heroine in this tale and the connection they had was wonderful.

Was the author new to you and would you read something by this author again? Yes and Yes!

Are you keeping it or passing it on? I’m keeping it but recommending it to others.
